Arsenal skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang spoke to BT Sport after the game against Norwich City.

The Gunners star scored twice to help his side pick up their third win in a row in all competitions.

Aubameyang’s goals tonight showed once again how important he is to Mikel Arteta’s side. The former Dortmund man’s future is still up in the air and Arsenal’s board have to do everything they can to convince him.

The Gunners solved one contractual issue earlier today. Arsenal tied Bukayo Saka down to a long term deal which is brilliant news to everyone associated with the club.

One down and another to go for Arteta as he will be hoping that the board will find a way to convince Aubameyang to renew his contract as well.

Speaking about Saka’s contract and his own, Aubameyang said: “I’m really happy that Bukayo signed da ting. We’ll see. We’ll talk with the club and see what happens. I’m really focused on the games.”

“Since Mikel is in we’re doing well. We’re working well. We have signs we’re improving.”

That really is positive news for Arsenal fans who are desperate for their star striker to stay at the club.

Aubameyang’s brace took him to 19 goals in the Premier League this season, level with league’s top scorer Jamie Vardy.

Arsenal have a tough few games coming up and more goals from Aubameyang will help them finish in a respectable position, which then could play a pivotal part in his contract negotiations.
