Meet actor Johnny Ruffo
Neighbours fans have revealed that they recognise Owen actor Johnny Ruffo from another Aussie soap.
And they are not wrong as Johnny played Chris Harrington on Home and Away from 2013 to 2016.
In 2017, however, Ruffo’s life was turned upside down after a brain tumour surgery and cancer diagnosis.
Prior to filming on Neighbours, the actor took to Instagram to share his excitement about his new role.
He wrote: “Thrilled to have landed a guest role on @neighbours. So much fun filming & working with the cast… Can’t wait for you guys to see it.”
Where else have we seen Ruffo?
Prior to his acting career, Ruffo was a finalist on The X Factor Australia between 2011-2012.
He also appeared on Australia’s Got Talent and Dancing with the Stars in 2012.
In a 2019 interview on The Morning Show (via Digital Spy), the actor revealed that he was looking forward to getting back to his acting career.
“I’m getting back into work… slowly keep kicking on. Now that I have the all-clear in the health part of things, I’m going to get back into television, back into acting, might even dip my toe into theatre – if the role is right.”
