Reported Rangers target Terem Moffi has suggested that he could be on the move this summer, as quoted in The Daily Record.

Rangers are interested in signing Moffi in the summer transfer window, according to a report in Score Nigeria this month.

The report claimed that Steven Gerrard’s side have made contact regarding the 21-year-old striker, and so have Ligue 1 outfit Lorient.

The Nigerian youngster moved to KV Kortrijk only in the January transfer window from Lithuanian side Riteria for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Record to be worth £150,000.

According to WhoScored, the youngster scored four goals in seven Jupiler League games for KV Kortrijk.

Moffi has explained his decision to move to KV Kortrijk, and has suggested that he could leave the Belgian club this summer.

The Daily Record quotes Moffi as saying: ”I could have gone to Sweden, Norway or Israel.

“But I chose Belgium, because this way I can get to the big leagues more quickly. Where would I like to go? France or Spain, we’ll see…”

Good signing for Rangers?

Alfredo Morelos is one of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership, while Jermain Defoe is a proven goalscorer.

This means that Moffi would be the third-choice striker at Rangers if he joined the Gers, at least for next season, but he would be a good long-term signing for the Ibrox club.
