According to Record, Arsenal are ready to make an offer for Sporting Lisbon youngster Joelson Fernandes.

It has been reported by the Portuguese publication that Arsenal are interested in signing the 17-year-old in the summer transfer window and have an offer that is ready to be presented to Sporting.

Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are also interested in the teenager, with Sporting trying to increase his release clause from €45 million (£41.12 million) to €100 million (£91.37 million), which the player’s father Eusebio and his agent Kia Joorabchian do not want, according to the report.

Promising talent

Joelson is a very talented and promising young winger who can be a global star in the coming years.

According to, the Portuguese teenager has been likened to his compatriot and legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, who started his professional club football career at Sporting before moving to Manchester United, Real Madrid and then Juventus.

However, €45 million (£41.12 million) is a lot of money for a 17-year-old, and it remains to be seen if Sporting are willing to sell him for less than that.
