Pundit Chris Sutton has taken to Twitter to share his delight at hearing Mohamed Elyounoussi is returning to Celtic for another season.
The 25-year-old winger spent last season on loan at Celtic, and impressed despite suffering injury problems during his time at Parkhead.
Elyounoussi hit seven goals and six assists in 20 games for Celtic, producing superb displays on the left flank whilst showing consistent end prduct.
This summer, the Norwegian heads back to Southampton. The Saints paid £16million to sign Elyounoussi from Basel in 2018, but he has made little impact on the South Coast.
Now, VG in Norway report that Elyounoussi took time over the weekend to decide between rejoining Celtic on loan for another year or heading to Spain with Real Betis.
They state that Elyounoussi has now chosen to join Celtic on loan again, with his family enjoying life in Glasgow so much that they want to go back.
The deal looks set to go through imminently, and pundit Sutton has taken to Twitter to claim that it’s good business from Celtic to land Elyounoussi again, even if just for another year rather than a permanent deal.
