Liverpool winger Sadio Mane has raved about Andy Robertson on the club’s official website.
Mane and Robertson have formed a hugely dangerous partnership down the left-hand side for Liverpool, with the pair linking up brilliantly.
When Mane tucks inside, it is up to Robertson to provide Liverpool the width.
The Scot is also tasked with covering for Mane, if he does push on.
And Mane says that he feels he is playing with the very best left-sided defender in world football.
“Andy is a great lad, first of all, and he is a great player,” Mane said.
“ou can see his desire and how hungry he is in the game and he always wants to learn and always wants to improve. For me he is the best left-back in the Premier League for sure and in the world.
“He is still young and can improve a lot and he’s just an incredible player, always going forward and he is defending properly… he is just a unique player.”
Robertson and Mane have both been central figures in Liverpool’s title success this season.
The pair have both been brilliant throughout the campaign, as the Reds have cruised to their first Premier League title.
Robertson and Mane both look almost certain to feature for Liverpool in their next match, which comes against Manchester City on Thursday.
