Trent Alexander-Arnold has told Liverpool’s official website that Neco Williams and Harvey Elliott have both really impressed him.
Williams and Elliott have regularly trained with Liverpool’s first-team this season and they were even afforded some minutes on the pitch in Jurgen Klopp’s side’s latest game.
Alexander-Arnold felt that the pair performed well, and he has very high hopes for their futures.
“You can see him improving and picking up little things every day – likewise with all the young lads – and I think there’s no better place for young players to be than at Liverpool, to be given the chances like they got [against Palace],” Alexander-Arnold said of Williams.
“To be given the opportunity to train with world-class players is only going to make you better and prepare you for days like this so I was over the moon with the way he’s performed and likewise with Harvey [Elliott] when he came on.”
Williams and Elliott have played regularly for Liverpool in cup competition this season.
The young duo are expected to be given even more chances in Liverpool’s senior side next term, with Klopp looking to develop them into stars.
Liverpool are now apparently set to have a quiet summer, which could benefit Williams and Elliott.
There are gaps in the Liverpool squad that they could fill, and they could well play important roles for Klopp’s side next term.
