Reported Wolverhampton Wanderers target Otavio could leave Porto when the Primeira Liga season is concluded, agent Evandro Schmidt has suggested in conversation with A Bola.
With six games remaining in the 2019/20 campaign, this diminutive Brazilian has glory in his sights.
Otavio has won just one title since joining Porto six years ago but, with The Dragons setting the league alight this season, they are on the verge of wrestling their crown back from bitter rivals Benfica.
Sergio Conceicao’s side are three points clear with six games remaining.
So, unsurprisingly, Otavio is fully focused on events on the pitch for now with his future beyond the season in doubt.
“Otávio is focused only on winning the Portuguese title and the Portuguese Cup. At the end of the season we’ll see what (offers) appear,” Schmidt says.
“But he is just focused and committed to helping the team achieve the goals it set for this season.”
The Mirror (28 June, page 66) claims that Wolves are looking to snap up yet another Primeira Liga kingpin this summer with Nuno Espirito Santo tipped to reunite with a former player at Molineux.
An adaptable attacking midfielder who can play pretty much anywhere across the forward line, Otavio has produced an impressive 10 assists in all competitions this season and could be the man to turn Wolves’s remarkable tally of draws into wins.
The former Internacional starlet has just one year left on his contract at Porto and looks unlikely to sign a new one.
