Mikel Arteta has singled out Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah for praise in the Metro after his side’s FA Cup clash with Sheffield United, as per the Metro.
Arsenal ran out 2-1 winners over the Blades, with Arteta’s young players impressing on the occasion.
After the match, the Arsenal boss was asked about his collection of prospects.
And the Spaniard reserved special praise for Nketiah, who had come off the bench in the latter stages at Bramall Lane.
“They are evolving and they are really willing and they have a lot of personality to play,” he said of his young players.
“You can see the way they played today and Eddie as well, the way he came on and how he fights with everybody, he doesn’t care, so I really like that.”
Nketiah’s important to Arsenal has grown and grown since the turn of the year.
The 21-year-old is now becoming a regular starter for Arteta’s side, with the Gunners boss clearly a big fan of his ability.
Nketiah has now racked up four goals for Arsenal in just 11 appearances, and is proving to be a real threat even at the top level.
Arsenal’s reward for beating Sheffield United yesterday is a semi-final against Manchester City.
