Atalanta right back Timothy Castagne has told La Derniere Heure in his native Belgium that a club like Tottenham Hotspur can’t be turned down.
Tottenham are likely to be in the market for a new right back this summer, with Jose Mourinho needing some competition for Serge Aurier.
Castagne has emerged as a target in recent times. Tuttomercatoweb reported in April that Tottenham had picked out Castagne as a target to fill that right back need.
The move doesn’t appear to have moved forward since then, but Castagne has just a year left on his contract – and that may tempt Atalanta into selling before he leaves for free.
The 24-year-old, formerly of Genk, has played 21 times for Atalanta this season. He has bagged two goals and two assists, playing either as a right or left wing back.
That versatility should be appealing to Tottenham, and he has now made comments that will be difficult for Spurs and Mourinho to ignore.

Castagne has stated that Tottenham simply can’t be refused, and nor can Paris Saint-Germain with both teams interested – and whilst interest is nice, Castagne noted that he wants even more, suggesting he’s angling for a move.
“Let’s be honest, clubs like Tottenham and PSG can’t be refused,” said Castagne. “The interest of such teams is proof that the work pays off. But I don’t want to stop at a simple interest, I want more,” he added.
