Tony Dorigo has paid tribute to former club Leeds United on Twitter after their morale-boosting 3-0 win over Fulham at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.
Goals from Patrick Bamford, Ezgjan Alioski and Jack Harrison saw Marcelo Bielsa’s side move back to the top of the Championship.
More importantly, Leeds now have an eight-point cushion in the automatic promotion places and, with only seven league games left, they have inched closer to making an emotional return to the Premier League after a 16-year absence.
Here’s how club legend Dorigo reacted to the victory on Twitter.
Tuesday’s visit of Luton Town to West Yorkshire could and should represent another three points toward promotion.
The Hatters are 23rd in the Championship and if Leeds are in the mood, Bielsa’s men will hopefully take another big step back toward the big time.
After Luton, the Whites’ next three games are away to Blackburn, home to Stoke City and then away to Swansea.
