The Whites thrashed Fulham 3-0 at Elland Road this afternoon to establish an eight-point cushion in the top two.

And better yet, there’s only seven Championship games for Leeds this season.

Barring a huge upset, Marcelo Bielsa’s side will be back in the top flight next season following a 16-year absence.

It’s worth pointing out that Leeds are also top of the table after West Bromwich Albion lost at Brentford last night.

The Leeds fans weren’t in attendance today for obvious reasons, and they won’t be back inside their stadium for the rest of the 2019-20 campaign, but the important thing is that Bielsa gets them back into the big time and a few more victories would solidify that.

United are back in West Yorkshire on Tuesday night as struggling Luton Town – who are 23rd in the Championship – come to town.
