Cyberpunk 2077 is unfortunately delayed to November but the excitement is more prevalent now than ever before thanks to yesterday’s Night City Wire. Following CD Projekt Red’s showing of gameplay and action a lot of fans have already fallen head over heels in love with a female character named Judy Alvarez. And, seeing as almost everyone pitched a tent for her, lots of people are asking if she’s a romance option.

Lots of outlets have been able to play four hours of Cyberpunk 2077 and the reception has been extremely positive. PC Gamer have expressed that it was thrilling and that they’re hungry for more, and Eurogamer have said that they’re “V impressed“.

However, while the gameplay and aesthetics all look incredible, some people are desperate to know if Judy Alvarez is a romance option.

Is Judy Alvarez a romance option in Cyberpunk 2077?

CD Projekt RED haven’t confirmed if Judy Alvarez is a romance option in Cyberpunk 2077.

However, in a Q&A on YouTube, Alanah Pearce does say that Judy Alvarez is indeed a romance option in Cyberpunk 2077 but there’s a catch.

The catch is that Pearce doesn’t confirm the sexuality of the character which does matter as allies in the game will have preferences (Alanah talks about Judy and romance at 10:42 in the video below).

Similar to other RPGs like Dragon Age Inquisition, lots of romanceable characters in Cyberpunk 2077 will have different sexualities which will make some unattainable if you’re a guy or woman.

Again, we don’t know what the sexuality of Judy is, but there’s speculation on Reddit that she’s a lesbian which would make her only available as a romance option for female V. This speculation is because of flirting dialogue options for female V players but it’s possible that Judy could be bisexual like some romances will be.

Regardless of who she’s compatible with, the sexual preferences is great and there’ll no doubt be plenty of characters just as good if not better than Judy who undoubtedly looks stunning with her green hair and array of tattoos.
