What is ‘Love’ on Netflix?

‘Love’ is a 2015 erotic drama art film written and directed by Gaspar Noe.

The film follows the story of an American cinema school student living in Paris. The film is famous for its very raunchy and uncensored sex scenes.

Such scenes are actually unstimulated, meaning that the actors are actually engaging in sexual acts in real life and filming it for the movie rather than pretending for the cameras.

The opening scene is x-rated

There’s a popular new trend on TikTok that sees people reacting to the opening scene. Pre-warning, if you want to watch it, it’s very explicit!

The scene is an explicit sex scene between the main character Murphy and an unknown woman. Then, it cuts to Murphy asleep next to his girlfriend and crying son. Viewers then realise that the sex scene was actually in his dream.

People are likening the film to the 2020 film 365 Days which is another popular erotic drama film.

People are watching the opening scene, completely unaware of what they are about to watch and filming their true first reaction for TikTok.

The videos feature lots of very shocked faces, with one girl saying: “That’s a real penis. How is that allowed on Netflix!”

She then continues: “That’s so sensual. I don’t know if I’m hot and bothered or just bothered.”

And then finally, she exclaims: “How is this a movie!”
