Is this saga involving Newcastle United set for a resolution? According to reports, yes.
Since April, the Magpies supporters have been patiently waiting for the Premier League to greenlight Saudi Public Investment Fund’s £300 million takeover of the club.
There have been quite a few delays and many of them relate to allegations of broadcast piracy levelled at the Saudi-based firm.
In addition to that, the Premier League has had its hands full with Project Restart after the season was suspended for three months due to the global health crisis.
DEAR KYLE WALKER…
But it looks like there may be good news for Newcastle fans imminently.

According to The Shields Gazette, there is ‘confidence’ in Saudi Arabia that the Premier League will approve the takeover within the ‘coming days’.
You could forgive the North-East fanbase if they didn’t take the cans out of the fridge just yet in anticipation of celebration because, as mentioned, there have already been delays and another false dawn would hurt.
But one way or the other it does look like this one is tailing off.
