Porto halved the release clause in Jesus Corona’s contract at the Mexican international’s own request, A Bola reports of the Wolverhampton Wanderers, Everton and West Ham United target.

Is there a player more perfectly suited to Nuno Espirito Santo’s free-flowing, high-flying Wolves side than this one-man assist-machine?

After being transformed from a tricky winger into a rampaging full-back, Corona has been all-but unstoppable.

Even Trent Alexander-Arnold cannot match his tally of 17 assists from the right-hand side, with Corona’s agent claiming that he is the best footballer in the whole of Portugal at present.

The thought of the former FC Twente speedster racing down the wing before whipping a pinpoint cross into Raul Jimenez’s path should have everyone at Molinuex drooling.

And it’s fair to say Nuno should know how to get the best out of him too. After all, they spend 12 months together at Porto in 2016/17.

A Bola reports that Wolves can reunite Corona with his old boss if they trigger the £25 million release clause in his contract.

Interestingly, the 27-year-old was valued at £45 million not so long ago but it was he who convinced Porto chairman Pinto da Costa to shave £20 million off his price-tag.

A Bola suggested back in February that Everton and West Ham could make bids for Corona this summer, with both clubs in the market for a new right-back.

What an upgrade he would be on the retiring Pablo Zabaleta at the London Stadium.
