According to Footmercato, reported Liverpool and Arsenal target Leon Bailey is in talks with Manchester City over a summer move.
The Bayer Leverkusen winger has been heavily linked with a summer move following an impressive campaign in the Bundesliga.
A report in the Express in March claimed Liverpool and Arsenal are keen on the winger.
Bailey has a history with the Premier League’s top clubs. He told Fourfourtwo back in November 2018 how he turned down the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea while at Genk.
The Jamaica international instead favoured a move to Leverkusen where this season he has posted seven goals and three assists in 28 appearances in all competitions.
But his time with the Bundesliga club could be coming to an end.
Footmercato claim Pep Guardiola has opened talks with Bailey over a move to City.
The former Barcelona manager confirmed to reporters today how winger Leroy Sane has rejected new contract offers at City as he wants to move to another club.
Sane’s deal at City expires in 2021. The club would be wise to cash in on him this summer, and Bailey could be a like-for-like replacement for the German international.
Bailey, who is rated at £85 million by the Express, is said to keen on working with Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium.
If Liverpool and Arsenal are serious in their interest, they may have to act quickly.
