Everton are interested in signing Layvin Kurzawa from Paris Saint-Germain this summer when his contract comes to an end in June, according to Le10 Sport.

Thiago Silva is not the only departing PSG star to be linked with a summer move to Goodison Park.

Like the veteran centre-back, Kurzawa is due to become a free agent in a matter of weeks.

And while the France international might not have the same glittering reputation as a former Brazil captain, Kurzawa certainly won’t be short of offers when he finds himself without a club on July 1.

Barcelona, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool have already been linked, perhaps seeing the four-time Ligue 1 champion as a useful addition to their squads even if he is no longer viewed by the majority as one of the finest left-backs in the game.

According to Le10 Sport, Everton are also in the mix with Carlo Ancelotti keen on raid his former employers for a man who once cost PSG a cool £20 million.

27-year-old Kurzawa has struggled for form over the last few seasons, losing his place in the PSG starting XI to Juan Bernat.

But the only ‘defender’ ever to score a Champions League hat-trick still has a lot to offer, and taking a step back with a move to Goodison Park could be exactly what he needs at a crucial stage in his career.

Then again, with Lucas Digne establishing himself as arguably the Premier League’s finest left-back at Goodison Park, it remains to be seen whether Kurzawa would rather join a club where he would be guaranteed a starting place.
