Arteta and Guardiola are yet to come up against each other as managers, but will do so for the first time tonight.

And Guardiola is looking forward to pitting his wits against his former assistant.

“I’m so excited to see him, one of the nicest people I ever met,” Guardiola said.

“It was a joy for me and for all of us to work with him. The feeling I have is he’s happy there and doing an incredible job. I’m looking forward to seeing him.”

Arteta has done an excellent job at Arsenal so far, and a win tonight would really ignite their top four hopes.
