A video of Donald Trump approaching a ramp with caution has attracted speculation but he has since addressed health concerns.

Recently, there have arguably been many more eyes on Donald Trump than usual.

In the wake of George Floyd’s tragic death, political unrest in America has overwhelmed the news, with a focus on the protests that have escalated and subsequently spanned the globe.

The way that he has dealt with the situation has been considered controversial; to say that certain tweets have been read offensively would be an understatement.

Then again, would anyone ever expect Trump’s actions not to divide?

Recently, some have actually become concerned for his health, with such hashtags as #TRUMPstroke and #TrumpIsNotWell becoming rather prevalent on Twitter.

Donald Trump health concerns: Ramp trouble explained

After the president delivered a West Point commencement speech in honour or graduation at the weekend, footage capturing him as he appeared to struggle walking down a ramp drew speculation.

Some also pointed out that he was drinking water in a peculiar fashion.

Indeed, the video of him descending the ramp does suggest that he’s having some difficulty, but surely there’s an explanation right?

After all, Business Insider notes that the White House released the results of his annual physical earlier this month which confirmed he “remains healthy”.

As anticipated, it didn’t take Trump long to address concerns…

President shuts down health concerns over ramp video

On Saturday, June 13th 2020, Trump headed over to Twitter to shut down speculation and concerns over his health.

In a tweet [see below] he addressed:

“The ramp that I descended after my West Point Commencement speech was very long & steep, had no handrail and, most importantly, was very slippery,” he tweeted. “The last thing I was going to do is ‘fall’ for the Fake News to have fun with. Final ten feet I ran down to level ground. Momentum!”

This definitely makes sense. Honestly, if he’d have fallen over the footage would’ve been immortalised in meme history forever.

We’d say the caution was a good call!

Twitter reacts to Trump drinking water

Although health concerns over the ramp footage are easily explainable, some feel that the way he was seen drinking water suggests issues too.

Over in the comments section of the previous tweet, one weighed in: “Regarding the glass of water. Looks like your shoulder is blown out from golf… If you wait too long they won’t be able to fix it.”

A number of people have weighed in with their concerns, and yes, memes too of course.
