Barcelona superstar Antoine Griezmann has revealed when he wants to move to Major League Soccer – and which MLS teams he would sign for.

During a recent Zoom interview conducted by the Catalan club, Griezmann revealed that his bucket list includes further successes in Europe, on the international stage, and also wanting to challenge for MLS Cup.

The Los Angeles Times reported Griezmann, who has been capped 78 times for France, announced that:

“Winning La Liga and the Champions League with Barca would be a dream… There’s another World Cup in Qatar [in 2022], and after that MLS… For me it’s an objective to end my career in the United States with the possibility of playing well and being a big part of the team and fighting for a title.”

Where in MLS could Griezmann land?

This is not the first time that an Antoine Griezmann MLS move has been discussed. In 2018 the then Atletico Madrid man told ESPN that he would consider joining David Beckham’s Inter Miami, stating that “If he [Beckham] wants me at his club, then I’ll go…I want to finish in the MLS.”

As a result of Griezmann repeatedly expressing his ambition to play in MLS, speculation as to which team is inevitable. The forward would be a fantastic signing for any MLS club; whether that be for marketability purposes in the second-largest French speaking city of Montreal (second only to Paris), or for a team historically desperate to challenge for MLS Cup – the New York Red Bulls and NYCFC can both apply here.

However, it looks as if Griezmann already has his mind set on a new place to call home, telling L’Equipe:

“We will see if that will be in Los Angeles or Miami. These are two good cities.”

Which seems to confirm a preference for either Inter Miami, LAFC, or the LA Galaxy – the latter also being linked to another high profile European star, Mario Balotelli.
