The Glasgow Evening Times reported last month that Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United were monitoring Celtic’s academy player Kelly.
The report also claimed that Leicester City and Chelsea were keeping tabs on the 15-year-old box-to-box midfielder.
However, it seems that Celtic have managed to convince the talented and promising youngster to commit his future to the Hoops.
Kelly’s father, Daniel, has posted the following photo of his son signing a pre-professional contract with the Hoops on Twitter.
Kelly is only 15 years of age, and staying at Celtic for the forceable future is certainly the best decision for him.
After all, the club rate him highly, and if he continues to play well and progress in the youth set-up, then he will get the chance to play for the Celtic first team in the coming years.
The Glasgow giants give chances to their youth academy players, and Kelly could become a big player for the senior side in the future.
Tottenham and Arsenal are massive clubs and are global brands, but Celtic are a big club as well, and staying at the Hoops will help Kelly in his growth and development as a footballer.
