Real Madrid and Brazil legend Roberto Carlos spoke to Blu Radio about James Rodriguez’s future.
The Colombian has been in the news for a while now after failing to live up to the hype at Real Madrid.
Rodriguez has a number of fans in the Premier League. Marca claimed a few weeks ago that Arsenal, Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers are all interested in signing him this summer.
The former Monaco man has just one year left on his current deal with the Galacticos. This summer would be the ideal time for them to cash in on him but Real Madrid legend Roberto Carlos disagrees.
“The Brazilian said: “James is a phenomenon. I have great affection for him. I ask for a little patience with him. When James comes in to play he does it very well, there are many changes for him.”
“The most important thing is that he has confidence in himself, that he continues training as he is, the fans love him very much, he is a great player.”

Real Madrid have been patient with the Colombian but Rodriuez never quite lived up to the hype that was created after his performances in the 2014 World Cup.
Rodriguez also spent time out on loan in Germany with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich. His performances there didn’t convince the Bavarians to sign him permanently, and that forced him to stay at Real Madrid last summer.
With Everton really interested in him, Rodriguez might get a chance to reunite with Carlo Ancelotti but if Carlos’ words mean anything to Real Madrid, they might well keep him this summer.
