Barcelona want to sign Arsenal forward Pierre Emerick Aubameyang for just £18 million, according to the Daily Mail.

Barca have a tentative interest in the Arsenal forward, whose contract is due to expire at the end next season.

Aubameyang is not the Catalan giant’s first choice replacement for Luis Suarez, but they are interested in a potential bargain deal.

Barca reportedly would be willing to buy Aubameyang if Arsenal reduce their asking price for their star striker to just £18 million.

The Sun have recently claimed that Arsenal will not sell Aubameyang for less than £20 million this summer, even if that means losing him on a free transfer.

Arsenal apparently feel that keeping their star forward for another season would be worth the financial hit, unless they are to receive a sizeable fee.

That stance is understandable as replacing Aubameyang is going to be a huge challenge for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Aubameyang is regarded as one of the Premier League’s very best forwards, and finding a player who can hit the back of the net as frequently as him could be practically impossible on Arsenal’s budget.
