Newcastle United have been told that there is no time limit over their takeover, according to the Chronicle.

Newcastle have been waiting to hear for well over a month whether their new owners will be allowed to buy the club, but the Premier League still haven’t made a final decision.

The Magpies have faced delay after delay and have reportedly now been informed by the Premier League that they still won’t rush.

England’s top flight want to be certain of their final decision and have suggested that there are putting no time pressure on themselves to come up with a final decision.

That means that Newcastle fans could continue to face a nervous wait to find out if Mike Ashley’s time at the club will come to an end.

Newcastle supporters are largely desperate for the takeover to go through, as their new owners appear to have huge plans at St. James’ Park.

Newcastle’s potential Saudi-buyers would be among the wealthiest owners in world football and there is an expectation that the Magpies could become a real force again with such financial backing.
