Newcastle United fans have disagreed with Sean Longstaff’s comments to the Chronicle about Steve Bruce.

Bruce’s future at Newcastle is currently very uncertain, amid rumours of a takeover.

It has been suggested that Bruce will lose his job at St. James’ Park if Newcastle’s new owners are confirmed by the Premier League.

The likes of Rafael Benitez and Mauricio Pochettino have both been linked with the Magpies job.

But Longstaff has stuck up for his current boss and insisted that he deserves a chance.

“I think it would be unfair if you didn’t give him [Bruce] the chance to carry on the work that he has started to put into place,” Longstaff said.

Unfortunately for Longstaff his comments haven’t received much support.
And it seems most Newcastle fans are hoping for a change of manager, if new owners do come in.

Bruce has guided Newcastle into 13th place in the Premier League table so far this term.
