According to 90min, Newcastle and West Ham are among the clubs interested in signing Lingard from Premier League rivals United in the summer transfer window.
Everton and Leicester are also reported to want the 27-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger.
However, the England international has suggested that he wants to stay at United and win trophies with the Red Devils.
Lingard said on Adidas Home Team’s The Huddle, as transcribed by Goal.com: “I have the right attitude, I have the right desire, I have the right hunger to win games to play for United to obviously win trophies which is one of the most important things.
“I think we can get there, we all need to push each other to new heights, day in, day out in training. So I don’t see why we can’t take it into the game too.”
Manchester United stay?
Lingard seems determined to win trophies at United, and his aforementioned comments suggest that Newcastle and Everton would be better off focusing their attention elsewhere.
The England international has not been in great form for the Red Devils this season, but the 27-year-old attacker would be able to do a good job for the Magpies or the Toffees.
However, it seems that the 27-year-old wants to carry on playing for United.
According to WhoScored, Lingard has made nine starts and 11 substitute appearances in the Premier League for United so far this season.
The 27-year-old has also made three starts and four substitute appearances in the Europa League for the Red Devils this campaign, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.
