With the Coronavirus still a huge threat around the world, one precaution a lot of people are taking to try and protect themself from the virus is wearing a mask or face covering.

Initially, these were medical type masks, but people soon began to realise that they could make the mask a fashion statement. Pretty Little Thing brought out a range of fashionable face coverings, and people have been sewing their own at home during lockdown.

And now, people have taken it to the next level and are even putting masks onto their Bitmoji’s on Snapchat!

If you want to join in, then here’s just how to do it.

What is a Bitmoji?

A Bitmoji is your own personalised Avatar to be used on Snapchat.

You can customise your own character, changing its facial features, hair and outfit, and then turn it into different stickers and emotions that can be sent to your friends.

It was originally created as a separate app by Bitstrips in 2007 but now has been taken over by Snapchat.

To create a Bitmoji, simply download the Bitmoji app and link it to your Snapchat account.

How to put a mask on your Bitmoji

  • Open the Snapchat app and click on your Bitmoji icon in the top left hand corner of the screen.
  • Scroll down and press ‘Select Selfie’.
  • Now select one of the selfies with a mask!

What masks are there to choose from?

There are fifteen different masks that you can put on your Bitmoji, from flames to tiger print, camo to floral, multicoloured and so many more.

There’s enough to change your Bitmoji selfie and wear a new one every day!
