Lead actors Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley are known for drinking bourbon in the TV show, and now it’s become a reality as the two have launched their own Bourbon brand!
The whiskey drink is called ‘Brothers Bond’, named after their characters Damon and Stefan who are brothers.

Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, who play brothers Damon and Stefan Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries, have announced the launch of their new Bourbon Whiskey brand.
The drink is called ‘Brothers Bond’ named so as the two are brothers in the 8-series vampire show which is available to watch on Netflix.

They announced the launch on Instagram and Twitter
Ian Somerhalder, who plays main character Damon in the TV show took to his Instagram to post a photo of him holding a bottle of the Vampire Diaries inspired alcoholic beverage.
He captioned the post: Here it is. Our passion. Our baby. Ladies and gentlemen please meet, Brother’s Bond Bourbon. Time. Quality. Passion. Distilled for you and me. We appreciate your support more than you know.”
Then, he posted the same photo on Twitter and made it his new profile picture with the hashtag #NewProfilePic.
He also wrote in his Twitter bio: “Damon&Stefan have a bourbon. We have worked so hard on this. If you are 21 yrs old in the USA or legal drinking age go to our website so we can share with you.”

The alcoholic drink will be available at brothersbondbourbon.com, where you can sign up to get further updates about when it goes on sale.

The announcement made the website crash!
After Ian made the announcement on his social media yesterday, it gained such a positive reaction that the website crashed.
He posted a video to his Twitter account thanking everyone for their love and support of the new product launch, saying that it is a “special day for Paul and I” and then apologises that the website had gone down after hundreds of thousands of people were trying to click on it.
Fans on Twitter have been going crazy for the new collaboration, loving the fact that they have brought Damon Salvatore’s favourite drink to reality.
