In recent years, however, we’ve seen more and more diverse content appear on the streaming service.

From docuseries and reality TV to Oscar-winning films and international TV series, there’s never a shortage of something to watch.

Newly released Indian series Betaal falls into the latter of those four categories and introduces viewers to a host of acting talent that many won’t have come across before.

One such member of the cast is Manjiri Pupala but just what do we know about this up and coming actress?

Betaal on Netflix

Betaal released worldwide on Netflix on May 24th, 2020.

The Indian series, which is produced by Blumhouse (the company behind Get Out), tells the story of a remote Indian village in the shadow of the supposedly haunted Betaal Mountain.

The village is beset by a horrifying battle as an army of 19th-century British redcoats reanimate as zombies and wreak havoc on a squad of modern-day troops sent to protect the village.
