According to Il Mattino, Everton have seen a bid for Allan turned down by Napoli, with the Italian club looking for €70 million (£62.05 million) as transfer fee for the central midfielder.

It has been reported by the Italian publication that Everton made an offer of €45 million (£39.89m) for Allan, but Napoli have rejected it and value the 29-year-old at €70 million (£62.05 million).

The report has added that the Brazil international central midfielder himself wants to leave the Serie A outfit this summer.

Huge fee needed for Newcastle United

The report in Il Mattino will come as news for Newcastle, who have also been linked with Allan.

According to a report in Area Napoli last month, the Magpies are interested in signing the Brazilian, with the same publication claiming that it will cost the Premier League club €40 million (£35.45m) in transfer fee.

However, it now seems that Newcastle – and Everton – will have to spend as much as €70 million (£62.05 million) in transfer fees for the former Udinese central midfielder.

Stats

According to WhoScored, Allan has scored one goal and provided one assist in 16 Serie A matches, and has played six times in the Champions League for Napoli so far this season.
