Netflix has finally rolled out Snowpiercer episodes and fans want to know more about Kurt Ostlund. So, let’s take a moment to spotlight the star’s age, roles and more.

Without Netflix, this year would’ve been a far sight worse. Not to worry though, because the streaming service continues to deliver a terrific selection of films and TV to keep us entertained.

A number of new obsessions have been born over on the platform these last couple of months but the latest is sure to be Snowpiercer.

You may remember the 2013 film of the same name directed by Bong Joon-ho (Parasite) starring Chris Evans. It was an adaptation of a French graphic novel called Le Transperceneige which was arguably always ripe for an episodic adaptation.

Now, it’s here and was developed by Josh Friedman and Graeme Manson, with the likes of Daveed Diggs (Blindspotting), Jennifer Connelly (Alita: Battle Angel), Mickey Sumner (Frances Ha) gracing the cast.

However, we’re here to highlight Kurt Ostlund…

Netflix: Snowpiercer with Kurt Ostlund

In the Snowpiercer series, Kurt Ostlund stars as Strong Boy.

According to IMDb, the 28-year-old actor’s screen career took off when he landed the role of Slab on the TV series Mr. Young; he reprised the character for 80 episodes up until 2013.

That same year, he starred in an episode of The Troop (Cyrus) and would later go on to be in such shows as Backstrom (Martin Phinney), The 100 (One of the Grounders), Timeless (Lewis Powell), Supernatural (Stuart Blake / Billy), Project Blue Book (Soldier #2) and The Terror (Private Locke).

It’s not all TV though, as he was also in the 2019 film William, 2016’s The Unseen (Oggy), Grace: The Possession (Joel) and such TV movies as Love You to Death (Alan) and Mark & Russell’s Wild Ride (Hothead).

He also voiced Big Joe on Cartoon Network’s Level Up.
