Snowpiercer has finally arrived on Netflix but how many episodes are there? Audiences can continue the story weekly.

It’s safe to say that Bong Joon-ho was firmly cemented as a household name in everybody’s book this year.

The South Korean filmmaker made history when his latest masterpiece, Parasite, scored the Academy Award for Best Picture. He also earned accolades for Best Director, Best Foreign Language Film and Best Original Screenplay; well deserved.

Beforehand, he had helmed the likes of Memories of Murder, Mother, Okja, The Host, and indeed, Snowpiercer.

His 2013 sci-fi film starring Chris Evans (Avengers: Endgame) has enjoyed cult status since its release but has experienced distribution issues in the UK. However, since Parasite, many more eyes have feasted on its dystopian vision of social inequality – a recurring theme throughout Bong’s work.

It’s actually an adaptation of Le Transperceneige, a French graphic novel, which has now been treated once again, this time in the form of a series over on Netflix…

The series has arrived on the popular streaming service and positions us alongside characters striving for equality on a train hurtling through frozen wasteland.

Developed by Josh Friedman and Graeme Manson, it manages to elaborate on the themes of the film and novel while lending much more time to the development of characters and their relationships.

It boasts a terrific cast too, including the likes of Daveed Diggs (Blindspotting), Jennifer Connelly (Alita: Battle Angel), Mickey Sumner (Frances Ha) and more.

So, how much time do we have with them?
