Lockdown has brought upon us the temporary closure of all our favourite places to visit and museums are no exception.
Suddenly, all our learning has to be done through Zoom or by watching documentaries and lots of us are missing being out in the world and getting to experience things first hand.
The Horniman Museum understands this frustration and have created a Snapchat filter which allows you to walk through the museum virtually, and enjoy the exhibits through your phone.
You can walk around your own house, but the filter transforms where you live into the museum, and it is almost like you are really there.
If you want to check this out and enjoy a little bit of culture, then read below for instructions on how to access the filter.
How to get the Horniman Museum filter
- Open your spotify and scan the code on the screen
- Click on ‘activate for 48 hours’
- Start using the filter by hitting ‘record’
- Walk through the virtual doorway and explore the museum
