Reported Tottenham Hotspur target Vedat Muriqi claims offers for him has made him happy but a transfer isn’t on his agenda right now, Fanatik report.
The Fenerbahce striker has been linked with an exit one year after joining the club.
According to A Spor, Tottenham have launched a £4.5 million bid for his services.
Speaking to reporters, Muriqi claims the report of offers makes him happy.
“My name is remembered with a team every day. The incoming offers make me happy. However, a transfer is not on my agenda. The Super League results are our biggest disappointment. We want to win the Turkey Cup. I think only this. I have not served this team as much as I want yet,” Muriqi explains.
Tottenham’s reported offer for Muriqi is way below the club’s asking price.
Fanatik claimed a few weeks ago how Lazio and Spurs are keen, with Fenerbahce seeking a £22 million fee for him this summer.
Jose Mourinho’s side struggled for form prior to the Covid-19 suspension, scoring just five goals in their last six games in all competitions.
The injury to Harry Kane has left Spurs toothless upfront. Exits from both the FA Cup and Champions League ensued prior to the suspension.
A new striker is evidently a top priority for Tottenham this summer. However, the club can’t expect to pick up a player such as Muriqi with such a lowball offer.
The 25-year-old has proven to be a top player in Turkey. Standing at 6ft 4inch, Muriqi netted 25 times for Caykur Rizespor last season and has 21 goals for Fenerbahce this term.
