Reported Everton and Newcastle United target Mohammed Kudus will ‘definitely’ leave Nordsjaelland this summer, the youngster’s agent has told Miliyet.
With ten goals in 22 games this season from his favoured attacking midfield position, it was only a matter of time before a promising Ghana international found himself in the crosshairs of clubs from all over Europe.
Especially as Nordsjaelland are ready to accept a fee of around £4 million, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton and Steve Bruce’s Newcastle are allegedly admirers, with Kudus’s lethal finishing skills and ability to thrive in a number of positions only adding to the allure of a 19-year-old who has already outgrown the relatively small pond that is Danish football (France Football).
“Currently, many European clubs are following Kudus closely,” agent Jennifer Mendelewitsch has said.
“We are not in contact with Marseille (but) we are meeting with very large clubs. This summer, he will definitely leave Denmark.
“He could join clubs like Salzburg or Leipzig, but also in England, Spain and Italy. There is also interest from France.”
Kudus will be desperate to join a club where he can continue to feature regularly, and it remains to be seen whether he would be offered such an opportunity at Goodison Park or St James’ Park.
Both Everton and Newcastle appear to have their heart set on signing a number of new midfielders in the off-season, so Kudus may be better off taking his time to see how their transfer plans pan out before making his decision.
