Lana Del Rey’s Instagram post explained

Lana Del Rey took to Instagram to share her opinion about double standards in the music industry, naming a few fellow female artists.

The 34-year-singer wrote that she’s “fed up” with people who have accused her of singing about particular themes, saying that other female singers have topped the charts singing about those same topics.

Lana Del Rey wrote:

“Now that Doja Cat, Ariana, Camila, Cardi B, Kehlani and Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé have number one songs about being sexy, wearing no clothes, f–king, cheating etc — can I please go back to singing about being embodied, feeling beautiful by being in love even if the relationship is not perfect, or dancing for money — or whatever I want — without being crucified or saying I’m glamorizing abuse?”

Her Instagram post has received a huge backlash from fans and followers who weren’t happy about Lana’s statement.

And since Doja Cat’s name was also included in Lana’s Insta post, Doja replied in a now-deleted comment: “Gang sunk that dunker”.

What did Doja Cat mean with ‘gang sunk that dunker’?

Doja Cat’s comment has left many fans confused over her ambiguous reply.

But thanks to one Twitter user we have a proper explanation of what she actually meant.

Twitter user @DrJoshuaM1 wrote:

“Gang, meaning a friend and in this place referencing Lana. So Lana sunk, as in she landed, and dunker meaning the point trying to get across, (Imagine dunker meaning truth bomb). So Lana’s points were made.”
