YouTube creator, blogger and social media influencer Chloe Ting is dominating the world of isolation workouts with her 2-week shred plan which is now available for free on YouTube.
The 34-year-old from Australia is renown for her teeny-tiny figure, with an impressively lean and slender figure to match her miniature 5ft1 height.
Now, the general public want a slice of Chloe’s fitness routine and people are turning to her latest ‘shred’ workout to get there.
So, is the Chloe Ting 2-week shred any good? Or is it just another online workout con?
Review: Chloe Ting 2-week shred
Firstly, it needs to be clear that I have not specifically completed the 2-week shred plan.
However, as a former Men’s Health writer and fitness addict, there is a wealth of knowledge and expertise that I can use to offer an insight into the workout plan. I have also meticulously scoured through all of the videos on YouTube to get an understanding of the workouts included.
5/5: Very good bang for you buck: Initially, I was sceptical over Chloe’s proposed workouts given the 13-15 minute runtime. A Joe Wicks’ PE class for kids is that sort of truncated run-time because you can’t exactly keep a child’s attention for long. But a workout that effectively tires the muscle needed for growth and stimulation needs to be much longer.
However, if you dig a little deeper you will see that each day contains a handful of different workouts, focusing on different muscle groups – perfect. Collectively, the workouts amass to almost an hour per day, and you won’t find any other full 45-60 minute workouts that last two solid weeks for free on YouTube.
I recommend combing at least two videos together, or else you’re not going to have the motivation to complete four different 15-minute workouts in one day.
4/5 Does it actually work? If you were to complete all of the prescribed videos daily for 14 straight days then there is no doubt that there would be results. However, it comes down to the dedication of the individual.
You cannot directly burn fat in the stomach area. In fact, you can’t burn fat in any one specific area because fat-burning is a process that effects your entire body. This means that to feel the full results of the 2-week shred then you need to complete all of the videos, be it a leg workout or arms.
I’m sure many people will skip certain videos and may even only do the ‘abs workout’ sections given the workout title’s suggestion that you will ‘get abs in 2 weeks’.
The sad news is that no workout will get you abs in 2 weeks unless you already have a low percentage of body fat. Without a low percentage of body fat, your abs will never show. And while completing a workout program such as this will very much strengthen your abs and core, you will only see results in the mid-drift area if paired with a weight-loss diet.
In conclusion, it’s a very good workout, but results are driven in the kitchen and by your dedication to completing al the workouts.
Overall: 4.5/5 For a free workout program , Chloe Ting’s 2-week shred is the perfect routine for anyone stuck in isolation. Unless you already have an impressive physique then no, you’re not going to look like Chloe in the space of 14 days.
However, if you were to stick at the routine for 1-3 months, combined with a smart diet, you’re looking a new you.
