Maneater releases today for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Epic Games store and you can watch its gory launch trailer to get yourself in the mood for fulfilling the boyhood dream of becoming the iconic antagonist from Jaws. That is unless you’re a Nintendo Switch or Steam loyalist as you unfortunately have to wait for a release date that is further away.

Dubbed by many as Grand Theft Shark thanks to being open-world, Maneater is an ambitious RPG in which you get to devour plenty of scantily clad bikini babes as well as beer bellied blokes with little to no hair on their head. However, as if munching on Instagram fitness babes and let it all outers wasn’t exciting enough, you also get to combat other terrorisers such as alligators in fights befitting of a SyFy romp.

If you want to play the game but are loyal to Nintendo Switch or Steam, below you’ll discover everything that has been shared about its release date on those platforms.

What is the Maneater release date for Nintendo Switch?

There is no specific release date for Maneater on Nintendo Switch.

However, unlike Steam, we know that the release date for Maneater on Nintendo Switch is planned for sometime in 2020.

The game’s official Twitter account shared an announcement article for the ambitious shark RPG coming to the handheld console, and it’s specifically noted that the game is coming to the system this year.

As for when it’ll launch on Nintendo’s console, a concrete release date hasn’t yet been made.

Maneater Steam release date

The release date for Maneater on Steam will be on or shortly after May 22nd in 2021.

As for why the Maneater release date on Steam will be on or after the aforementioned day next year, it’s because the title is an Epic Games store exclusive for 12-months.

It was announced as an Epic Games store exclusive back in December 2018 and both PC Gamer and Gamewatcher note that its exclusivity deal lasts for a whole year.

This has understandably irked a lot of the Steam community as it means they’ll have wait longer than anyone else to enjoy the experience.
