Mutiny of the Worker Bees arrived on Netflix on May 20th but just what do we know about the actress Bárbara de Regil in the streaming service’s new comedy?
As a US-based streaming service, Netflix is often best known for its big-budget drama series such as Stranger Things and The Witcher.
However, in recent years, we’ve seen more and more diverse content appear on the streaming service to appeal to Netflix’s growing global audience.
From docuseries and reality TV to Oscar-winning films and international TV series, there’s always plenty to choose from.
One of Netflix’s most recent additions, Mutiny of the Worker Bees, falls loosely into the above categories as its a comedy from Mexico.
As a result, the film features plenty of Mexican acting talent, including the actress Bárbara de Regil, but just what do we know about this new Netflix star?

Mutiny of the Worker Bees (or Rebelión de los Godínez) released on Netflix on May 20th, 2020.
The film tells the story of the super-smart Omar Buendía as he’s forced to take a boring nine-to-five job by his grandfather.
However, rather than settling into a life of pencil-pushing, Omar and his co-workers have a different plan.
Introducing Bárbara de Regil as Tania Davich
- Taking on the role of Tania Davich, one of Omar’s colleagues, is Bárbara de Regil.
The 32-year-old actress (soon to be 33), who was born on June 5th, 1987 and hails from the Mexican capital of Mexico City.
She made her acting debut in 2011 and hasn’t looked back since. You can check out her previous roles below.
In 2017, Bárbara married lawyer Fernando Schoenwald.
Away from the acting world, Bárbara de Regil is also highly active on social media with accounts on TikTok and Instagram. She boasts an impressive following of 4.1 million and 7 million on the respective platforms.
Bárbara de Regil: Films and TV
As mentioned, Bárbara de Regil made her acting debut in 2011 with a role in the Mexican TV series Bajo el alma.
In the years since, Bárbara has gone on to appear in 13 roles in total, the most prominent of which have come in the likes of Tiempos Felices, Loca Por El Trabajo and Rosario Tijeras which is arguably her biggest role at the time of writing.
After a starring role on Netflix, we’re sure it won’t be long before Bárbara de Regil is back on our screens once again.
