BK Haken winger Ali Youssef has admitted that Sheffield United are interested in signing him, while describing a move to the Premier League as a ‘dream’, in conversation with Fotbolltransfers.

Chris Wilder’s Blades appear to have a plan in place. One that revolves around bringing some of the most exciting Scandinavian talent to Brammall Lane.

Norway international Sander Berge became the club’s all-time record signing in the January transfer window while Emil Bohinen, son of Lars, has also been courting the interest of a Steel City giant (Budstikka).

And this now brings us to Youssef – a tricky young left-winger who idolises Eden Hazard.

“My dream is the Premier League. It’s a big league with a lot of good clubs. There are some clubs that are interested. There are teams from Holland and England, including Sheffield United,” the Swede says.

Youssef forced his way into the Haken team during the 2019 Allsvenskan season, producing two assists in seven games.

He is currently under contract until 2023, so it remains to be seen how much Sheffield United would have to pay to sign another talented youngster.

In Chris Wilder, the Blades have one of the best managers around when it comes to helping budding talents fulfil their potential. Sheffield United may be the right club at the right time for Youssef.
