Bayer Leverkusen star Lukas Hradecky spoke to beIN Sport about Kai Havertz after their win against Werder Bremen last night.
All eyes, as expected, were on Havertz and the young German international did not disappoint.
The 20-year-old showed the world exactly why he is rated so highly with a fantastic display where he scored twice to help his side win 4-1.
After the game, Hradecky was asked about his sensational teammate and the Finnish shot-stopper admitted that he is destined to move to a bigger side in the future.
He said: “That was something other than a normal performance from Kai Havertz. He’s a star in the making and we’re happy he is here, hopefully it’s not the last season he will be with us. But I do think he is destined for bigger things.”
It has been evident for a while now that Havertz will be the next big thing to come out of Germany. The youngster has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool (Express) while the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester City are also said to be keeping tabs. (Goal)
The Independent claimed that Havertz is valued at £80 million, but performances like this will almost certainly push that figure higher.
The German has scored 12 goals and has provided eight assists so far this season. He has directly been involved in 16 goals in his last 13 games, which is an incredible record for someone of his age.
Liverpool don’t necessarily need him immediately, but there is no doubt that he would be a huge hit under Klopp at Anfield. Reds fans would certainly love to see him, yet Leverkusen will do everything they can to keep hold of him for at least another year.
