There are some phenomenal highlights headed to Sky Cinema in June 2020, so let’s talk exciting premieres and binge-worthy collections.

How have you been keeping busy during lockdown?

More cooking? More exercise? More TV? Well, one thing’s for certain: you haven’t been going to the cinema.

Many have taken it upon themselves to share their thoughts on what they’ve missed most during all this. For the majority of film fans, it’s heading to the cinema.

We can’t wait to see them reopen their doors and invite us in to make more cherished memories, bathed in the light of the silver screen. However, we’ve all been very lucky to have access to a wealth of great films while they’ve been closed.

Sky Cinema has been a particularly valuable source of entertainment, keeping film lovers up to date with terrific recent efforts which they may have missed out on during their theatrical distribution.

For June, they are unveiling their most exciting line-up of movies yet. So, without further delay, let’s get down to it…

The Kitchen (June 13th): Melissa McCarthy, Elisabeth Moss and Tiffany Haddish star in this late 70s-set crime thriller.

The Mustang (June 14th): Compelling drama starring Matthias Schoenaerts (A Bigger Splash).

First Love (June 17th): The latest from Takashi Miike (Ichi the Killer, Audition) has been considered a return to form for the Japanese filmmaker. Great, wild fun!

Gemini Man (June 19th): Ang Lee sci-fi actioner starring Will Smith in a dual role.

Mr. Jones (June 21st): Based on true events, Mr. Jones follows a Welsh journalist who unveils Stalin’s genocidal Ukraine famine.

Jay and Silent Bob Reboot (June 27th): The stoner-slacker duo return in this inventive comedy starring Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes. This time, they’re out to stop a reboot of Bluntman and Chronic. For fans of the pairing, you won’t want to miss out!
