Arsenal are close to beating four rival teams to the signature of Orkan Kokcu, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has seemingly had eyes on Kokcu ever since he took over at the Emirates Stadium, with the Feyenoord playmaker high up on his wishlist.
Arsenal are prepared to pay around £25 million for Kokcu, and that fee has put them in pole position to land him.
Kokcu also had interest from Chelsea, Sevilla, Valencia and Real Betis, but it is the Gunners who are now said to be ‘close’ to landing him.
Whether Kokcu would be lined up as a permanent starter for Arsenal or one for the future remains to be seen, but he could be an impressive acquisition.
Kokcu has played 35 times for Feyenoord this term, scoring three times and claiming six assists.
The 19-year-old appears to have an extremely bright future, and he would join a list of impressive young talents at Arsenal if he was to join.
