Newcastle United have received a potential transfer boost.
Lord knows that the Magpies are being linked to a lot of big-name players as of late, as a knock-on effect for the pending £300 million takeover at St James’s Park.
But one of the lesser-known figures linked with a move to Newcastle is Club Brugge striker Emmanuel Dennis who, according to Voetbal24, is on the North-East club’s radar.
And according to his manager, he’s probably going to be leaving Belgium when the transfer window opens.
Brugge boss Philippe Clement has revealed that it’s ‘very likely’ for the Nigerian hitman to be departing in the near future.
He told Derniere Heure: “It is very likely that Dennis will leave. He can also count on a lot of interest. It is the time for him to take a new step.”
This tallies with another report from Belgium last week that stated Brugge will be forced to sell Dennis due to the global health emergency.
Every club in Europe is suffering adverse financial reactions to the lack of revenue in recent months.
Dennis had managed only five goals in 20 league appearances for his club this season, before it was declared finished last month.
