The agent of reported Everton and Tottenham Hotspur target Mohamed Simakan has confirmed interest from Valencia and Sevilla, Transfer20 report.
The Strasbourg central defender has been heavily linked with a move.
According to RMC, both Everton and Tottenham are heading Premier League interest while clubs from Italy and Spain are also monitoring his progress.
Calciomercato, meanwhile, claim AC Milan have launched a £13 million bid.
Speaking to Transfer20, Badou Sambage adds Valencia and Sevilla among the suitors.
“Simakan had a great season. He has sometimes played as a right back, although he is central. He has a very good mindset and is a great professional. If you play at Valencia you can do it anywhere. As for Betis or Sevilla you say, they are top clubs. I know they have come to see him. Sevilla sporting director Monchi is a specialist in the French market. Valencia and Betis are also very important clubs,” Sambage said.
Simakan, 20, made 17 Ligue 1 starts this season. He averaged 2.8 tackles and 1.6 interceptions per game prior to France cancelling the league amid the Covid-19 virus (Whoscored).
Everton must strengthen their defence this summer. The Toffees have conceded 46 Premier League goals in 29 games. Their last league game was a 4-0 defeat at Chelsea.
Spurs, meanwhile, will be on the lookout for a replacement for Jan Vertonghen whose contract expires this summer.
Simakan’s ability to play either in the middle or on the right will likely appeal to Tottenham. Serge Aurier has no doubt had an inconsistent campaign.
If reports are true, however, Everton and Spurs may need to act fast as Simakan has plenty of suitors.
