Manchester City-owned Daniel Arzani has suggested to The World Game that he will not be at Celtic next season.

Arzani joined Scottish Premiership club Celtic on loan from Premier League outfit City in the summer of 2018.

The 21-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, moved to the Hoops on a two-year loan deal.

However, injuries have severely affected the Australia international and his ability to make an impact on the team at Celtic Park.

As stated on Celtic’s official website, the former Melbourne City man has made just two appearances for the Hoops in all competitions – and that too as a substitute.

Arzani – who is in Sydney at the moment, according to The World Game – has suggested that he will leave Celtic when his loan spell ends this summer.

Arzani told The World Game: “It’s been a really tough last two seasons for me. Celtic’s been tough, there are a lot of good people there and it’s a good club, but the most important thing for me is game time and I wasn’t getting that.

“I was getting frustrated with injuries and things like that and the most important thing now is to look forward and go somewhere I think I’ll get game time.”

Disappointing Celtic spell

Arzani is a very talented and promising young footballer who could have been a huge player for Celtic had he not torn his ACL on his debut for the Glasgow giants.

It is hard to see the Australian break into the City first team next season, and perhaps he will be send out on loan again.

The Premier League and the Scottish Premiership are suspended at the moment due to the global health crisis.
