Arsenal’s hopes of landing Layvin Kurzawa were thought to be dashed last month.
The Paris Saint-Germain defender is set to leave the French capital on a Bosman.
And Sport in Spain reported that the left-back preferred a move to Barcelona over Arsenal, forcing the Gunners to identify other targets.
However, Le 10 Sport have claimed that the 27-year-old hasn’t heard from the Camp Nou club in regards to a move.
And Sport have now reported that of all the clubs that have spoken to Kurzawa, the player finds Arsenal the most attractive.
The former Monaco star, who earns £100,000 per week at PSG, has also spoken to Napoli and both AC and Inter Milan, the Spanish outlet adds.
It’ll be interesting what becomes of Bukayo Saka if the North Londoners to land Kurzawa.
The 18-year-old has been impressing at left-back in the absence of Kieran Tierney and if Kurzawa comes in, does the club’s academy product become third-choice behind him and Tierney?
Saka’s contract situation is a delicate subject and Arsenal can’t afford to do anything that disappoints him, with his current deal expiring in 2021.
Mikel Arteta has already said that he could be a left-back in regards to the long term, but that’s tricky if Kurzawa joins.
