Liverpool are keen to bring Werder Bremen forward Milot Rashica to Anfield this summer, the president of the Kosovan Football Federation Agim Amedi has told Syri TV.

Football is a squad game these days and, as Jurgen Klopp has been at pains to point out in recent months, his players have been stretched to their limit by being forced to complete for a whole host of tournaments all across the globe.

So if the Premier League leaders are to stop fatigue setting in, they could do worse than give Klopp money to spend over the summer.

Sadio Mane, Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino are not going anywhere but Liverpool would certainly benefit from bringing some top-quality back up to Merseyside. And that is where Rashica comes in.

Like Salah and Mane, the Kosovan international is at his best when driving at full-backs and, with 22 goals to his name since the start of last season, Rashica’s end product is improving year on year.

Liverpool have been linked with the £33 million-rated speedster via Weser Kurier and it seems there is more to this than idle paper talk.

“There are many requests for (Rashica). I know that Liverpool in the Premier League want him, but also Leipzig in the Bundesliga,” Amedi says, in quotes translated by AreaNapoli.

“I am sure that he will be advised in the best way to make his decision.”

Rashica, who has been compared to Bayern Munich legend Franck Ribery, might not be the finished article just yet but neither were Salah, Mane, Firmino, Virgil van Dijk or Andy Robertson when they arrived at Anfield.

With one of the best coaches in the game pulling the strings, Rashica could soon join the elite if he joins officially the best club on planet earth right now.
