Celtic appear to have made Western Sydney Wanderers striker Stefan Nikolic their first summer signing with the World Game reporting that the teenage frontman has agreed a three-year contract at Parkhead.
Considering that Nikolic netted 36 goals in 25 games for an A-League outfit at youth level recently, not to mention 45 in 30 matches the year before, it should be no surprise to learn that the Aussie wonderkid has caught the eye of clubs in Europe.
Celtic are always on the lookout for fresh-faced starlets with potential by the bucketload and it’s fair to say the Western Sydney Wanderers starlet ticks plenty of boxes for a Scottish Premiership giant.
Now, it seems that a deal is all-but done.

The World Game reports that Nikolic, who had previously enjoyed an impressive trial period in Glasgow, is set to join compatriots Tom Rogic and Daniel Arzani at Celtic.
The publication adds that Nikolic has inked a contract which will run until 2023 and he will make the trip to Scotland once travel restrictions are limited during an unprecedented global health crisis.
Nikolic has already been pictured wearing the iconic green and white stripes – and image Celtic fans should get used to seeing if one of the hottest young goalscorers around finds the net with similar ease on British soil.
“He’s got terrific potential and can finish from many different areas,” Western Sydney Wanderers academy chief Ian Crook says of a forward who will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Odsonne Edouard and Moussa Dembele in Scotland.
